بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِیمِ وَیۡلࣱ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةࣲ لُّمَزَةٍ
[1]WOE unto every slanderer, fault-finder!
ٱلَّذِی جَمَعَ مَالࣰا وَعَدَّدَهُۥ
[2][Woe unto him who amasses wealth and counts it a safeguard,
یَحۡسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُۥۤ أَخۡلَدَهُۥ
[3]thinking that his wealth will make him live forever!
كَلَّاۖ لَیُنۢبَذَنَّ فِی ٱلۡحُطَمَةِ
[4]Nay, but [in the life to come such as] he shall indeed be abandoned to crushing torment!
وَمَاۤ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡحُطَمَةُ
[5]And what could make thee conceive what that crushing torment will be?
نَارُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُوقَدَةُ
[6]A fire kindled by God,
ٱلَّتِی تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى ٱلۡأَفۡـِٔدَةِ
[7]which will rise over the [guilty] hearts:
إِنَّهَا عَلَیۡهِم مُّؤۡصَدَةࣱ
[8]verily, it will close in upon them
فِی عَمَدࣲ مُّمَدَّدَةِۭ
[9]in endless columns!
